WARP: Topic 5; Telling Stories (Narrative)
I absolutely appreciate and admire the work of Marion Fayolle. Her characters change, break, melt and are warped in numerous ways. One work in particular is seen as a man and a woman in love and kissing in a series of illustrations, but as soon as the man's girlfriend leaves, then man touches another woman's butt. His hands are then marked with the blue of her dress. When his girlfriend comes only to see the infidelity marks on his hands, she then smacks him and leaves him which left a red mark on his face. I like it because it illustrates a situation that happens too often in today's society which is cheating. People think that they can cheat, but what what they don't realize is that when they cheat, their guilt is marked. This is something that causes families to break, hearts to be broken, and worlds to be turned upside down.
